Our mission and commitment is to serve and stabilize families with absolute respect and unconditional love. HGA’s high-quality programs and services provide families with a bridge from homelessness to hope.

We’ve been chasing one ambitious goal: ending the global water crisis and provide shelter to families facing challenges. And while the water crisis is huge, we’re optimistic. We know how to solve the problem, and we make progress every day. If we work together, we believe everyone will have access to life’s most basic need within our lifetime.

GIFTS IN KIND

When HGA began, we made a bold promise: 100% of public donations would go directly to fund our mission. We’d even pay back credit card fees, meaning if a donor gave $100 with a credit card and we got only $97, we’d make up the $3 and send the full $100 to provide clean water and shelter for people in need. Since we treat our mission and operations sides of our business differently - separate purposes, separate fundraising goals, and separate bank accounts, we can guarantee that every public dollar donated helps bring clean water to people in need. And so far, more than 1 million people from 100+ countries have given in this way.

Real change happens when communities actively participate. We work on local and regional levels to create change that lasts.

We measure, analyze, and report results each year to ensure our activities are making a transformative impact. With constant assessment, we can pivot quickly when needed.

We construct long-lasting safe water solutions that utilize local ingenuity, safe water needs, and supplies that community leaders can access.

We serve in hard-to-reach places where families have the most challenging access to clean water and safe shelter to waterborne illnesses. We pursue the least and the last.

What services does HGA offer to families facing homelessness?

• In addition to water and shelter, HGA offers street outreach, medical care, mother/child programs, transitional and supportive apartment-living programs, and life-skills training.
  

Is my donation tax deductible?

• All contributions to HGA are tax-deductible upon receipt of payment. You will receive a receipt for your donation for the full amount of your contribution that is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
